Sorry for the long time no wheek. My hooman Melon has this thing called Depression which means that she has down periods sometimes, and doesn't get around to doing things. She struggles with me sometimes too, but just like with that, she's gonna help me with my blog as much as she can.
So it's come to my attention that I have new blogfriends (hiii! *noses*) and that they might not know what a guinea pig is or how it works. So.
This is a guinea pig.
This is a guinea pig in its natural state.
To some, this state is known as munching. |
This is a guinea pig in action.
This is a guinea pig at rest.
Oh, and there's the other natural state... pooping.
... Guess you don't need a photo of that.
(Let it suffice to say we are champion poopers.)
Hope you enjoyed your lesson!

P.S. Please check back tomorrow - a Very Important Post may be coming.
We hope your Mom is feeling cheery. It is no fun being down. We bet you make her smile a lot. Thanks for the lesson on guinea pigs - we think you are very cute:)

Melon here. Thanks for your kind thoughts. I was going to say that Cocoa actually causes me more grief and guilt than anything else because of my struggles to keep up his care, but then I remembered that every time I see him munching contentedly I feel some peace. :)
DeleteHi Cocoa! Be sure and say hello to Melon for us and let her know that we are thinking of her and hope the down days become up days.
ReplyDeleteWhew - I was a bit concerned there for a minute that we might be seeing a side of Cocoa that we really don't need to see! Is that grass that you're munching on? From the garden? The pack loves to eat grass too, especially in early spring.
Hey acd pack! Melon says thankyou for the kind words.
DeleteIt is grass from the garden - my favourite! You'll see a few posts down what our lawn looks like, thanks to me... hehe! I didn't know you guys like grass too! What good taste you have!

I've experienced depression so I have an inkling of what a struggle it can be. I hope that the world is looking brighter today. Thanks for the guinea pig lesson. I needed it! Are you related to pigs? Ha! I know that you're not!
ReplyDeleteThankyou, KB. My depression and my other issues have been around for a long time, but I'm still here working on them, hoping one day I will manage them better.

Wheek! You are right, we aren't related to pigs one bit! We are rodents, with teeth that grow forever, and which must be ground down by munching. Theories abound as to why we are called pigs, but I have other things to think about... Do you have any food, by the way?
